$250,000 REWARD

REWARD:
The Minister for Police and Corrective Services has approved a reward of $250,000 be offered for information which leads to the apprehension and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Teresa Margaret SMITH at Bundaberg on or about 1 February 1988.

INDEMNITY FROM PROSECUTION:
In addition, an appropriate indemnity from prosecution will be recommended for any accomplice, not being the person who actually committed the crime, who first gives such information.

The allocation of the $250,000 reward will be at the sole discretion of the Commissioner of the Police Service.

CIRCUMSTANCES:
At about 8.30am on 1 February 1988 Teresa Margaret SMITH’s naked body was found in the bedroom of her rented flat at 1/28 McVeigh Street, Bundaberg.

At about 4.30pm on 31 January 1988 Teresa Margaret SMITH was last heard of when she had telephoned her fiancée. She was last seen alive a short time previously at the Walkervale Pre-school where she was employed.
