REWARD:
The Minister for Police and Corrective Services has approved a reward of $250,000 be offered for information which leads to the apprehension and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Andrea Marlene SNOWDON at Ransome on or about 19 May 2000.

INDEMNITY FROM PROSECUTION:
In addition, an appropriate indemnity from prosecution will be recommended for any accomplice, not being the person who actually committed the crime, who first gives such information.

The allocation of the $250,000 reward will be at the sole discretion of the Commissioner of the Police Service.

CIRCUMSTANCES:
At about 3.30 p.m. on Sunday 28 May 2000 the body of a female person was located in bushland off Rickertt Road, Ransome in an area known as "Ransome Road Park". The body was identified from dental records as that of Andrea Marlene SNOWDON. An x-ray revealed that the victim had been shot three times with a .22 calibre weapon. Ms SNOWDON was last seen alive on the night of Friday 19 May 2000 when she left her place of employment at 1369 New Cleveland Road, Capalaba to drive to Greenslopes. Her vehicle, a red 1999 Hyundai Excel Sedan Reg. No. 448-EWY, was located that same night a short distance away in London Road, Gumdale.
