Regional Policing
For policing purposes the State is divided into eight Police Regions:
- Central Region
- Far Northern Region
- Metropolitan North Region
- Metropolitan South Region
- North Coast Region
- Northern Region
- South Eastern Region
- Southern Region
Each Regional Command is responsible for the overall management of police activities within its boundaries. Each Assistant Commissioner is responsible, within the guidelines established by the Service's Corporate Plan and consistent with the objectives of the Service, to organise, administer, coordinate, supervise and control all police activities with the Region.
