The Queensland Police Museum

The Queensland Police Museum includes 25 displays describing police heritage, Queensland crimes, police investigative techniques, medals, the history of police women, operational equipment and transport, amongst others. Our simulated murder scene is a popular attraction - come in and try your hand at solving this crime.

Our Research Library is home to a monograph collection, as well as archival material and images that date back to 1864. Researchers are welcome to use these research facilities, but please contact the Museum to make an appointment. Museum staff can conduct research on your behalf if you are unable to visit the Museum in person.

Our Education Program caters to both primary and secondary school groups and is most suited to students in years 5 - 12. Informative talks, focusing on forensic science and solving crime, are given to groups who visit on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Bookings are essential.

Education Kits are available to cater for both primary and senior groups. Each kit comes in two sections – one for the teacher that contains information about the Museum, and one for the student that contains museum activity sheets. We will supply a copy of the kits when you make a booking with us.
