School Students

Police Officer with school children To become a police officer the Queensland Police Service (QPS) does not recommend any particular subjects in which students should enrol at high school. Students should study subjects they are interested in and can achieve good grades which will enable them to go to Diploma level study at TAFE or Degree level study at university.

School students are ineligible to apply to join the QPS immediately after graduation from high school. This is due to their inability to meet the minimum application requirements needed to gain entry. This web site will provide a good insight into a career as a police officer and the recruitment selection process.
