Still Unsure
- Make sure that you are safe
- Tell a person that you trust
- Speak to your doctor
- Speak to a counsellor
- Write down everything you can remember about the sexual assault / rape including :
- The circumstance leading up to the assault
- What actually happened during the assault
- Where did the assault happen?
- Who was there?
- Who you told?
You may not want to speak to police or anyone else about what has occurred but you may change your mind at a later date. If you have this information documented then it can greatly assist police later if an investigation is commenced.
