Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Action Plan
The Queensland Police Service is committed to providing a quality service to all people in Queensland.
The Service recognises that providing policing services to the diversity within the community occurs in an ever-changing environment that requires constant evaluation of programs and strategies.
The plan complements previous work and reflects the efforts of the QPS, working with communities, to address issues. This is achieved through policies, procedures and programs that are responsive to broad based and specific community needs.
The Service will continue to build upon the understanding and commitment across all levels of the organisation which are vital to ensure that the strategies within the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Action plan are progressed.
