Margaret House

Margaret House was opened in Townsville, northern Queensland, to provide accomodation for police employees and their families who require emergency accomodation at Townsville. Townsville is the main centre for the vast northern interior of the state and contains many small townships which are serviced by small police stations. Townsville, along with Cairns, provides the main medical and support facilities for northern Queensland.
