Personal Health Considerations

There will be a number of health considerations that YOU will need to address after a rape or sexual assault and this will vary depending on your gender and the type of assault.


Considerations include:

  • Emotional support and referral to appropriate support service(s)
  • Pregnancy test
  • Prevention of sexually transmitted disease
  • General health care for body trauma
