Police BeatsThe Queensland Police Service currently operates 46 Neighbourhood Police Beats and 49 Police Beat Shopfronts accross the State, with a number of other sites currently under construction. Police Beats provide a strong, localised policing presence in residential areas, shopping centres and central business districts to prevent and reduce crime. |

Home Assist SecureThe Home Assist Secure Programme has been established in areas throughout the state that were identified as having a high percentage of older people and people with disabilities. |

Neighbourhood WatchNeighbourhood Watch is a programme organised by the community in order to reduce residential crime. Householders are encouraged to join together in small informal groups for the purpose of improving the safety of their families and other neighbourhood residents. |

Drink Rite InitiativeDrink rite is a state wide project initiated in response to drink driving and public safety issues. Drink Rite events are held in licensed premises or at community group functions, demonstrating the effects of alcohol and the benefits of drinking low alcohol beverages. |
