Step FourSouth Australia

You have determined that the offender lives in South Australia.

In order to make a complaint to the South Australia Police you are required to download and complete the following two documents:

  1. Complete an Official Police Statement (Complete an Official Police Statement|38400|application/msword 37 KB)
  2. Complete the Witness Cover Sheet (Complete the Witness Cover Sheet|56320|application/msword 55 KB)

Upon completing the statement and the witness cover sheet you are required to email both documents to:

sapol.onlinereport@police.sa.gov.au

In addition to emailing the above documents it is also requested that you email proof of having lodged a dispute with the relevant internet auction provider (for example, the copy of the email received acknowledging receipt of your complaint).

When your matter is assigned to an investigating police officer, that officer will contact you to make arrangements to have your statement signed and witnessed and obtain any supporting documentation.

Other Information:

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT YOUR COMPLAINT WILL NOT BE ACTIONED UNLESS YOU PROVIDE PROOF OF HAVING LODGED A DISPUTE WITH THE RELEVANT INTERNET AUCTION PROVIDER/WEBSITE.

If you were a victim of internet auction fraud on an auction site other than eBay (such as OZtion), the above statement is still appropriate to complete, just edit the statement to reflect the internet auction website you were using.

For evidentiary purposes it is extremely important that you keep the original emails in your email inbox until the investigation has been finalised.

If you require any assistance or you need some advice in relation to the completion of the statement or the form please contact the QPS Computer Crime Investigation Unit on 07 3364 4131.
