An efficient Neighbourhood Watch programme should not be a financial burden to resident members. Your local committee may request a voluntary donation to assist with programme costs.

There may be times when members are requested to attend an informal gathering to discuss the programme, but this should not take up much of your free time and you should enjoy the opportunity to meet new and old friends. Remember that it is not always what you get out of something that is important, but what you put into it. REIQ, the Queensland sponsor, provides valuable support to the programme in conjunction with the Queensland Police Service who provide staff, resources and expertise.
