Inquirers' Guide - Step 5
After the Public Meeting
It is important that, immediately after the launch, the coordinators and committee members have a brief discussion to organise a further meeting date and venue, for the purpose of establishing the NHW structure.
From this time, it is important to the future existence of your programme that the interest and enthusiasm of all persons is maintained. Therefore, forward planning by the Area Coordinator is required for this to be achieved.
Will we receive Police support?
YES. You may be assured that no programme will be launched if it cannot be fully supported.
Will the Civilian Coordinators receive training?YES. Because NHW is a community-based programme, all coordinator positions are made up of volunteers from the community.
All civilian volunteers receive training in the running of a NHW programme by the local District Community Policing Coordinator.
