Be the voice of the Queensland Police Service

Throughout the year Policelink may recruit Client Service Officers or Team Leaders to Join the Policelink Contact Centre and be part of the professional team providing direct client service to the community and police officers throughout Queensland.

Client Service Officer

Client Service Officers (CSOs) support the operational functions of the Queensland Police Service (QPS) through the provision of excellent client service in response to multi-channel contacts from community and QPS members.

To achieve this, CSOs will respond to a range of enquiries received via inbound telephone calls and other channels such as web, email and fax and may also undertake outbound telephone call activities.

Salary and benefits

Client Service Officers receive a full time base salary of between $46,120 and $51,432.

Most positions will undertake shift work and generous shift allowances apply:

  • 15% loading for shifts commencing after midday Mondays - Fridays
  • Time and a half for Saturday shifts
  • Double time for Sunday shifts.
  • In addition, CSOs will receive a minimum of 17.5% recreation leave loading (more if on continuous shift work) and employer superannuation contribution of up to 12.75%.

Training and advancement

Client Service Officers receive comprehensive training and have access to professional development to be better equipped for current and future roles at Policelink.

There will be many promotional opportunities available such as Team Leader and Coordinator roles as well as specialist roles within the contact centre environment.

Policelink Team Leader

Team Leaders each manage and lead a Contact Centre Team to ensure a high level of service and resolution of client issues in line with service level agreements, including coordinating and following contacts through to finalisation.

Team Leaders participate in a comprehensive training program, in a professional and supportive team environment and will have access to professional development to prepare for Team Leader positions and future roles.

To help us deliver excellent client service, Team Leaders will:

  • respond to clients in a professional and welcoming manner
  • demonstrate a high level of service and conflict resolution skills, remain clam, objective and rational under pressure
  • lead and develop a team in the delivery of quality service, be client and solutions focussed
  • manage a positive working culture, inspire and motivate others
  • analyse client and business requirements, resolve problems and make recommendations for improvements in service delivery.

Policelink is expected to be operational in early 2010.

Salary and benefits

The full time salary range for Policelink Team Leaders is $63,201 - $68,693 per annum (AO5 level of the Queensland Public Service Award - State 2003). Team Leaders will generally commence on the entry pay point of $63,201 per annum and progress annually to the highest pay level over three years provided their performance and conduct is satisfactory.

In addition to their salary, Team Leaders will be paid penalties for working shifts such as:

  • 15% loading for shifts commencing after 12 midday Monday - Friday
  • time and a half for Saturday shifts
  • double time for Sunday shifts.

Team Leaders will receive comprehensive training and have access to professional development to be better equipped for current and future roles at Policelink.
