Introduction to Policelink

What is Policelink?

 Policelink is a division of the Queensland Police Service, introduced in 2010 to assist with delivering professional and timely service to the state of Queensland. Our contact centre is operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.By phoning 131 444, you will speak with specifically trained Policelink Client Service Officers who can assist you with your non-urgent incident report or your general Queensland Police Service enquiry.

Policelink enhances the services the Queensland Police provides to the State by allowing Police Officers more time to perform operational duties, improving front line response times.

When should you call Policelink?

Anytime you would like to report a non-urgent crime or incident, or for general police enquiries, phone Policelink on 131 444.

If the crime is happening now, life threatening or there is a likelihood of the suspected offenders in the area, call 000 immediately.

However for all non-urgent assistance phone Policelink on 131 444. Some examples of the types of non-urgent incidents you can report by phone include; wilful property damage, stealing offences, break and enters, stolen vehicles and lost property.

What happens when you call 131 444?

When you contact Policelink, our specifically trained Client Service Officers and Police Technical Advisors will process your non-urgent reports and assist with any of your general Police enquiries. Where appropriate, Policelink staff may issue you with a crime report number for insurance purposes or for follow up enquiries.
