Change of Address or Licence Details/Other Important Information

Employer’s Responsibilities

If your employee (e.g. Farm hand employed by Primary Producers) obtained their weapons licence based on employment and has now left your employ you must advise the Weapons Licensing Branch of this change in circumstance.  Written advice must be forwarded to the Weapons Licensing Branch within 14 days prior to the intended last day of the employment.

Employee’s responsibilities

If you are a licence holder for occupational/employment purposes, you must advise the Weapons Licensing Branch of your cessation of employment in writing within 14 days prior to your intended last day of employment.  If you are being replaced by another person requiring the use of a firearm, they must obtain appropriate firearms licence where required.

You will also need to provide another genuine reason to retain your licence.
