Responsibility of people attending a Range
(1) A person attending an approved range must not possess or use a weapon at the range unless the possession or use:
(a) is authorised under
- A licence issued to the person; or
- Section 52; or
- Section 53; and
(b) is permitted by the range officer; and
(c) complies with the conditions under which the range was approved, including for example, that it is a weapon of a category for which the range was approved.
(2) A person attending an approved range must not use a weapon at the range in a way that is likely to cause death or injury to a person or unlawful destruction of, or damage to, property.
(3) A person attending an approved range must comply with any direction given by the range officer for the purposes of the Weapons Act 1990 or safety reasons unless the person has a reasonable excuse.
