Drug & Alcohol Coordination in the Queensland Police Service
Mission
To enhance the capacity of the Queensland Police Service to participate in a whole of government approach to prevent or minimise the harms associated with alcohol and drug use.
The Drug and Alcohol Coordination Unit operates under the Operations Support Command through the Policing Advancement Branch.
Services and Programs
The Drug and Alcohol Coordination Unit provides officers and management of the Queensland Police Service, other state government departments, national authorities and community agencies with the following services and programs:
- Strategic policy development, advice and review
- Risk management
- Research
- Unit development, management and marketing
- Information, training and resources; and
- Program management of:
- Drink Rite
- Party Safe
