LSD & Hallucinogens
Hallucinogens effect a person's senses and cause hallucinations - seeing or hearing things that do not exist.Some common names include trips, acid, tabs, dots, tiles, magic mushies and golden tops.
LSD is usually sold as small, square pieces of patterned paper/cardboard. They can also be sold as minature tablets called micro dots.
Another common type of hallucinogen is the "golden top" mushroom - these resemble toad stools.
Immediate Effects:
- seeing things in a distorted way or that don't exist
- distorted perception of sounds, smells, touch and taste
- intense sensory experiences (eg bright colours, sharper sounds)
- distorted sense of time and/or space
- distorted body image - feel as if floating or being pulled down by gravity
- changed and intense thoughts
- disturbed emotion, confusion, paranoia.
