Queensland - Great one day Perfect the next

Queensland has an environment that is not only sunny, beautiful and diverse but by world standards relatviely safe.

We aim to keep it that way, so that travellers like you will be able to tell others not only about our natural attractions but about your safe and trouble free Queensland holiday.

You can help us to help you stay safe and trouble-free and get the best out of your Queensland holiday by following these easy guidelines.

To Seek Help

The first thing you want to know if you get into trouble is where and how to get help.

In Queensland you can contact all emergency services - fire, police, ambulance - by dialling 000 (this is a free call).

000 is for EMERGENCIES ONLY.

Should you require the assistance of police, to report the loss of your passport for instance, telephone the nearest police station.

Queensland Police shoulder patch

Most hotels and motels in Queensland provide good room locks and advise you to secure your valuables. This is good advice.

Queensland Police Officers are easily recognisable in their blue uniforms which display this badge on each shoulder.
