School Rulz

As with all things, the future of NHW lies with the younger members of the community. The Glass House Mountains (Beerwah 2) NHW came up with a great way of getting the school children involved in learning and promoting NHW ideals with the 2003 NHW School Competition. The competition consisted of four sections, requiring students to: (1) Open up a NHW website belonging to NHW in Estonia and to answer a series of questions, (2) Answer general questions about Estonia using atlases, encyclopedias and any other sources of information, (3) complete a crossword and a word game using NHW aims, ideals and words and (4) design a poster advertising NHW in the local area.

With a grant from the Caloundra City Council and support from the local business community, some great prizes were up for the winning, including a digital camera and CD player. Congratulations goes to Kristie Robl who rode away with the first prize of a mountain bike.
