An intruder forced open the front door of a dwelling breaking the lock and splitting the frame. Luckily one of the tenants, who was sitting in a vehicle in front of the house heard the commotion and ran up the driveway to investigate. The intruder fled through the next door yard, but not without his description being passed onto the police.
Upper Mt Gravatt 7 – All Washed Up
A fire started from a faulty washing machine sitting underneath a resident’s house, resulting in the house catching fire. Luckily neighbours noticed the flames and alerted the resident who was in the house at the time, and kept the fire under control with a hose until the fire brigade arrived. While there was some damage to the house things could have been much worse without the help of the neighbours. A great example of neighbours keeping an eye out for each other!
