What Constitutes Membership of a NHW Area?
One of our more frequently asked questions at State Office is what constitutes membership of a NHW area. The answer is contained in Section 6 of the NHW Charter.
It states all persons 16 years or over, residing or operating a business in a designated program area, are members of that watch area unless they ask to be excluded from membership of that watch area.
All persons under 16 years of age, residing or working in a designated program area are encouraged to attend general and area NHW meetings, and support the program objectives. These members are known as junior members, but do not have voting rights. They may submit matters through a member for consideration by their area committee.
