Members of Caboolture 13 NHW helped celebrate the launch of the Beachmere Police Beat on March 13. Amongst the 70 strong people attending the opening ceremony were Hon. Tony McGrady (Minister for Police & Corrective Services), local police and NHW member s Jim Thompson & Ray McMillan.

Ron Gray (l) and Bruce McKay (r) were formally recognised by Bargara 4 NHW for their dedication and commitment to the area. Area Coordinator Barry Bulluss, (c) said that in 5 years both Ron and Bruce have never missed a meeting!. That definitely deserves a Certificate of Appreciation.

Camp Hill 7 NHW recently invited a guest speaker, Mr Gordon Jiear to inform the community about Myasthenia Gravis, an incurable muscular disease which affects approximately 1 in 20,000 people worldwide. For further information on the Myasthenia Gravis Association contact 1800 802 568 (freecall).

On the 3rd April 2003, representatives of the Dalby NHW areas met for their annual district conference. Presentations were provided by NHW State Office and the Dalby DCPC. The meeting featured an open forum, discussing issues on how to improve the program within the district. The conference concluded with a sumptuous spread provided by the Dalby NHW committee.
