A Line for Seniors
Going The Extra Mile
Seniors Enquiry Line is an information and referral service funded by the Queensland Department of Families and operated by Lifeline Brisbane.
For those unfamiliar with Seniors Enquiry Line, it is an easy access, personalised service. You will not get a computerised answering unit with prompts that need to be followed! We take pride in the fact that we provide Qld seniors, their family, friends and carers with up-to-date and useful information.
We cover a wide range of topics relevant to Queensland seniors including retirement accommodation, legal, leisure, health, transport, finance, concessions, advocacy and much more.
So if you are frustrated with trying to access good information, you can find what you're looking for by talking with one of the helpful Information Officers at Seniors Enquiry Line. Some of our frequently asked questions are:
- "Where can I get a Seniors Card application from?"
- "Where can I get help making my will?"
- "I am wanting to do something with my spare time. Are there any leisure or fitness groups in my area?"
- "I need a few things fixed around the home. Who can I ask?"
- "I find it difficult providing full time care for my partner. Where can I go for assistance?"
- "Is there anyone who can help me decide on retirement investments?"
- "I need to get to a medical appointment but do not drive. What are my options?"
Every person's needs are different, and Information Officers take the time to understand the situation and are committed to going the extra mile. If information is not immediately at hand we will research the matter and call back with an answer the same day.
Contact us by telephoning 1300 135 500 for the cost of a local call from anywhere in Queensland between 9.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
