The Year Ahead for NHW
Planning for the 2004 NHW State Rally is well underway and should be an interesting and informative day. The Rally will be held on the Saturday the 9th of October on the Gold Coast and will focus on the theme of NHW - Embracing Technology.
The Rally will showcase ways in which NHW can utilise technology to promote the program through the use of the Internet and improve communications using e-mail. Another coup will be the presentations by NHW state and territory representatives who will be at the Gold Coast for the National NHW Conference. These presentations will provide valuable and interesting information on the direction of the NHW Australia wide. So for those who will be travelling from afar, why not start fund raising so that you can be part of this fun and informative get together.
This years National NHW Conference will be hosted by Queensland for the first time since 1996, and will run in conjunction with the State Rally. The theme of the Conference will be NHW Strategic Direction -The next decade. Representatives from all state and territories will be in attendance with issues such as national marketing, sponsorship and the use of technology be discussed. The conference will be a three-day event with a series of presentations and interactive workshops. The Conference is set down for the 7-9 of October.
Another day to set aside is the National NHW Day on 21st August. This will be a day for all Australians to celebrate the achievements of the program. The day will have a theme so that initiatives can be established to promote the program. Details will be available in the next newsletter.
