From State Office
Welcome to our new look newsletter. It is hoped that this new contemporary design and layout will encourage a larger readership within your area. If you have any comments or suggests in relation to the new format of this newsletter, please write or telephone our office.
The state newsletter has many different functions. It is used to convey important NHW information, to pass on details of other organisations or events that may enhance the mission of NHW, and to present the good work achieved by our NHW areas. To make the newsletter more about YOU, we would love to include more stories and pictures on the events and celebrations that make your NHW thrive. Please feel free to contribute articles, anecdotes, photographs, coordinator profiles, or good news/success stories for inclusion in the state newsletter.
In the last newsletter I reported that areas were to advise the number of newsletters that were required. Thank you to all those areas who have responded to this query. Unfortunately only 100 responses have been received from over 700 NHW areas! Those areas that have not replied have had their newsletter numbers reduced. Please fill out the below feedback form regarding how many newsletters your area requires or your newsletter numbers may again be reduced.
Recently I had the pleasure of attending the Nathan (Upper Mt Gravatt 7) 15 year celebration. At the meeting it was my honour to present a number of awards to members. Also reaching it's 15th anniversary was the Riverview (Goodna 1) NHW area. To all members of these areas, congratulations on achieving this fantastic milestone.
I would like to acknowledge the continued good work of all our active NHW areas, and the efforts of our dedicated volunteers. It does not matter if your area is newly launched or if your area is an old hand, you all deserve praise for your efforts in making your area a safer place to live.
