Crime is shipping out down at Wynnum since the inception of the Wynnum Marine Watch in 2002. Based on the same principles of a residential NHW, Marine Watch members look out for their floating neighbours and report suspicious 'pirate' activities.
With seven captains in total, six responsible for their individual pontoons, and one for the hardstand area, the level of security for boat owners has improved significantly with the number of incidents being drastically reduced.
Wynnum Marine NHW has been hailed as a success amongst the boaties, who have enthusiastically embraced the concept of looking out for their mates!
