4MBS Sponsorship
It is with great pleasure that I am able to announce that Neighbourhood Watch has secured 4MBS Classic FM 103.7 as a minor sponsor of the NHW program.
4MBS Classic FM 103.7 is a not-for-profit community operated radio station
in its 25th year of operation.
The sponsorship initially involves the recording of 20 crime prevention and
community safety messages. The recordings recently took place in the 4MBS
Classic FM 103.7 studios with Rodney and I having a lot of fun with the stations
General Manager Gary Thorpe. Gary says that Rodney and I have “Got good
heads for radio!”.
The pre-recorded messages will be aired during ‘The Village Music Hour’ 12noon – 1pm on Friday’s. In the initial stages the broadcast will cover an area from Coolangatta to Noosa and west to Toowoomba. Neighbourhood Watch areas within this catchment are encouraged to email the stations Program Director with details of meetings and special events. After an evaluation in December, it is planned that this service will be offered to other community radio stations throughout Queensland.
