Help from Home Assist Secure
Home Assist Secure is a Queensland wide, government funded organisation. Their main aim is to assist people so that they can remain living in their own homes for as long as possible.
The eligibility is anyone over the age of 60 or anyone of any age with a disability, or a carer. People need to be living in their own home or in any form of rental accommodation.
Home Assist Secure can assist clients with home maintenance, referrals to honest, reliable tradespeople, installation of minor modifications and security work. Field Officers who have been trained by the police can conduct free, unbiased security assessments. A subsidy may apply in some cases when a client receives a government allowance or payment.
