Kuluin Safety Competition
The Kuluin NHW (Maroochydore 1) has taken the initiative to educate local school children and the community on safety through a competition at the Kuluin State School. The competition called ‘Keep Our Children Safe’ was run in conjunction with ‘Child Protection Week’ and was funded through a grant from the Child Protection Week Committee.
The competition was in two sections, preschool to year two entered colouring in pictures and years 3 to 7 designed a poster highlighting safety strategies such as NHW, Safety House and Protective Behaviours.
Entries were displayed at a local shopping centre with media highlighting the children’s work and Child Protection Week. Congratulations to the members of Kuluin NHW for taking that extra step to make more people aware of child safety and NHW.
