NHW Member of the Year Award

One of the highlights of the Rally was the awarding of the 2007 NHW member of the year award. This was awarded to Max Heeps from Toowoomba 21. Sadly Max passed away before the rally and Max’s wife, Audrey attended the rally to
receive the award on his behalf.

Bagara 3 Innes Park Neighbourhood Watch group thanked their Police Liaison Officer Sgt Lawrie Nauschutz for his attendance at the monthly meetings and for presenting the numerous crime reports to the group over many years. To show the group’s appreciation Sgt Nauschutz was presented a fi shing rod at the December Xmas meeting. Sgt Lawrie Nauschutz has been the group’s Police Liaison Liaison Officer for approximately 15 years.

Bundaberg 7 NHW recently introduced a ‘Good Neighbour Award’. Th is inaugural award was presented to Trevor & Ruth Johannesen on the 3rd January 2008 and recognises their contribution in making their community a safer place to live. Why not try something like this in your NHW Group and use it as a tool to promote your NHW activities.

At the last quarterly Caboolture & Redcliff e District NHW Conference held at Burpengary Les and Helen Organ-Moore were presented with gold certifi cates and badges by the District Officer Caboolture District Inspector Brady.
