A Guide to Protecting and Identifying Your Property

Property IdentificationEngraving or marking your property leaves no doubt as to ownership. It deters others from taking YOUR property because of the difficulties involved in 'off loading' identifiable property and helps police to recover and return items which may have been stolen.

A Personal Inventory

A detailed inventory should be kept of all your property. Record serial numbers, makes, models and full description (see rear of brochure). When your inventory is complete, keep the list in a safe place, e.g., home safe, or in an envelope at your local bank. This will help police to recover stolen items and will assist in cases of insurance claims.

What You Should Mark

Items listed are those most often stolen. It is therefore important that you mark as many of these items as possible regardless of value. Check off each item on your list after marking.
