I am pleased to present the Annual Report 2008-09 for the Queensland Police Service.

I certify that this Annual Report complies with:

the prescribed requirements of the Financial Administration and Audit Act 1977 and the Financial Management Standard 1997
the detailed requirements set out in the Annual Reporting Guidelines for Queensland Government Agencies.

This report is prepared on the basis of the current administrative arrangements for this department applying for the whole of the 2008-09 financial year. That is, it reflects the structure, operations and performance of the department as it now exists.
