4. Breaches of Standards of Conduct

All members are to familiarise themselves with this code and ensure that its provisions are observed. Members should be aware that failure to comply with standards of conduct outlined in the code, without valid reason, will be addressed in accordance with the contents of s. 18: 'Discipline' of the Human Resource Management Manual.

Members requiring advice or assistance concerning their obligations under this code should seek assistance from supervisors, managers, internal support areas, professional associations or unions. Members should also refer to relevant provisions of the Police Service Administration Act, the Public Service Act 1996 and s. 18: 'Discipline' of the Human Resource Management Manual.
