Lockie pays a visit to a concerned young citizen

When 11-year-old Monica ‘Molly’ Hutton wrote a letter to Commissioner Atkinson, asking if she could fundraise for Queensland Police Service she could never have imagined what would follow.

Brisbane Dog Squad, Senior Constable Philip Cowell and his police puppy Lockie set out to visit Molly’s school the following week at Alexandra Hills.

Molly and her little brother Owen spent the morning playing with Lockie and proudly sporting their junior police hats which the Commissioner had sent with his thanks.

Later that morning, Senior Constable Cowell addressed Molly’s class in the school canteen and explained Lockie’s training regime for the next 12 months.
