Weapons Licensing Application for an Import Permit

Weapons Licensing have introduced an online form to enable applications for Import Permits to be completed on line

Only use this on-line service if:

  • You have a valid and current email address.

You may still choose to apply in hard copy using 'Application for an Import Permit'

      B709B - Dangerous Weapons or Parts of Weapons (not including firearms).
      B709D - Category H Firearms, Parts, Accessories and Magazines.

    1. If the item/s have already been confiscated by the Australian Customs Service, please supply a copy of the Seizure Notice.

      Please note: File size limits apply and all photographs need to be either in a jpg, jpeg or png format, and other documentation to be in either PDF, Microsoft Word or Excel, where there is a limit of 4 items with the size of each file limited to 1MB. If you attempt to upload a photograph/document greater than 1MB or an incorrect file type, an error message will appear and the photograph(s)/document(s) will need to be re-attached.

  5. The Queensland Police Service (QPS) is collecting your information for the purpose of assessing your application for an import permit. The information you provide will be disclosed to Australian Customs and Border Protection Service. The collection of this information is authorised by the Police Service Administration Act 1990 (Qld) and the Weapons Act 1990 (Qld). The information you provide will not be used or disclosed without your consent unless such use or disclosure is authorised or required by law, including the Police Service Administration Act 1990 (Qld), Weapons Act 1990 (Qld), and the Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld). You have a right to access personal information that the QPS holds about you, subject to any exceptions in relevant legislation.
