Accessibility

This Queensland Police Service site  has been designed and developed to ensure that its content is available to as many users as possible, including:

  • people with disabilities who may use assistive technologies
  • those with slower internet connections or less than state-of-the-art equipment, and
  • those with non-PC internet devices including handheld devices and mobile phones.

The accessibility features available on this site include:

  • Skip links - for use with assistive technology and allow you to move quickly to key information such as the primary navigation, secondary navigation or content.
  • Logical tab order - for navigating without a mouse. Use the tab key on your keyboard to move to the next link or field.  Use shift-tab to move backwards, and the enter key to follow links and submit forms.  Most browsers support these functions.
  • Access keys -  to assist users with disabilities to access certain information using only the keyboard.

The site is print-friendly and all pages are optimised for printing.

Some older historical documents available from this site are unable to be optimised for full accessibility.
