Aviation
Aviation Capability Group (ACG) is an integral part of the QPS. ACG provides government aviation services specialising in both rotary and fixed wing operations in support of the QPS and our partner agencies in essential, lifesaving and emergency response operations across Queensland. Our commitment to safety, efficiency and innovation has established us as a leader in government aviation services.

Prosecutions
QPS Legal Division provides legal, prosecution and information management services for the QPS and manages legal relationships with the justice system, government stakeholders and clients.
Prosecution Services are responsible for QPS prosecutorial functions, coordination of specialist courts and diversionary programs, operational legal advice and prosecutor training.
We provide prosecutorial services in Queensland Magistrates and Children's Courts. In addition to sworn police officers, QPS employs civilian prosecutors who are legally qualified and admitted lawyers.
Our roles include professional Legal Practitioners, Legal Policy Officers, Information Release Officers and Prosecutors.
Information Technology
Frontline and Digital Division provides Information and Communication Technology (ICT) support, innovation, and services to the QPS. The Division’s services are critical for frontline officer safety, core information systems and data sharing with other agencies, ensuring a safer and more resilient Queensland.
Frontline and Digital Division delivers reliable and sustainable Information Communications Technology capabilities which support whole of Government priorities and commitments, utilising fit for purpose data, systems and intelligence to keep Queensland safe.

Forensics
Forensic Services Group (FSG) delivers highly specialised services in support of the investigative functions of the QPS. FSG provide a diverse range of field and laboratory rapid quality assured forensic services to support frontline police in investigating, solving and stopping crime. FSG has a high level of participation in both national and international forums and committees to benchmark forensic standards and practices.
Membership at these levels has enhanced FSG’s ability to develop specialist forensic capabilities, improve stakeholder engagement and service delivery to the Queensland community while maximising community safety.

- Education / Training
Education and Training Officers (ETO) improve the skills and knowledge of law, police duties and management of all police officers and staff members at all levels and locations across the QPS.
Education and Training Services includes educational design specialists, learning management system specialists and multi-media developers. Our Services support current and future training programs and products to assure Service personnel develop the behaviours, skills and knowledge they need to support the Community and achieve Service outcomes through high quality education and training.

The State Intelligence Group’s primary role is to provide the QPS with relevant, timely and accurate information and intelligence to strategic and frontline decision makers to enable them to allocate police officers and other resources at the right place and time to stop crime and make the community safe.

Communications Operator (Triple Zero Call Taker & Police Dispatcher)
As a Communications Operator, you are the first point of contact for members of the public requesting assistance via emergency Triple Zero (000) calls. Comms Operators undertake shift work on a 24/7 basis and provide frontline police with accurate, relevant, and timely information and support through a range of information management systems and communications equipment including radio systems.

Policelink Client Service Officer
Policelink's purpose is to enhance community safety through the consistent delivery of professional high-quality services which support frontline policing and the Queensland Community.
Policelink is a 24/7 non-urgent contact centre consisting of over 380 civilian staff and Police Officers. Policelink provides members of the Queensland community online and telephone reporting capability for a variety of occurrence reports and general policing matters. Policelink average 2 million contacts per year (public and police) providing frontline police with time saving capabilities, enabling them to keep the people, places and communities of Queensland safe through excellence in policing and community safety service.
Police Liaison Officers
Police Liaison Officers (PLOs) are employed by the QPS to establish and maintain a positive rapport between culturally specific communities and the QPS. The role of Police Liaison Officers is to promote trust and understanding by assisting the community and police to:
- reduce and prevent crime.
- divert people from the criminal justice system.
- advise and educate police officers on culture and cultural issues, and
- improve community knowledge of law and order issues and policing services.

Protective Services Officers
Protective Services Officers are sworn staff members of the QPS. We have legislative powers to provide security to state government buildings and assets, whilst working closely with Queensland Police Officers. Protective Services Officers are governed under the Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000.
Protective Services Group conduct mobile patrols throughout the greater Brisbane, Logan and Moreton Bay areas, and monitor electronic security alarms across the State. We also provide a security presence to TransLink locations across Brisbane. Where necessary, we do mobile patrols throughout the state through third party providers.

Policy and Performance

The Communications, Culture and Engagement (CCE) team provides a whole of Service specialist capability to support the ongoing effective operations of the QPS.
CCE provides a 24/7 media operations response and information sharing through the QPS digital platforms, whilst managing public relations campaigns and proactive media projects including the police recruitment campaigns. CCE also manages the internal communications systems and undertakes whole of Service engagement.
Through enterprise change management, CCE embeds a purpose and values-based culture in QPS and its members where they feel connected, engaged, and empowered, promoting the QPS fulfillment of inclusion, diversity and human rights requirements.
CCE engages the community through community groups, social media and community platforms to share crime prevention messaging. We oversee youth programs and policing in schools that engage with youth to enhance community safety through preventative programs, education and awareness.
