Anthony

As a Senior Base Pilot, my days are dynamic, alternating between flying shifts and providing operational support. Tasks range from hospital transfers and motor vehicle accident responses to search and rescue missions. I value the opportunity to serve the Queensland community. Although employed by QPS, our work at QGAir Rescue mainly supports health, ambulance, and search and rescue operations, showcasing the diverse roles within QPS.

Felicity

As a regionally based Policelink Client Service Officer, during the day I could take up to 40 calls and work through a number of digital submissions from the public. I have the pleasure of speaking with a wide range of people from many walks of life along with Police Officers daily. Shift work is great! It allows me to have a balanced social life and follow passions outside of my work with QPS. I am always learning something new and exciting. I have had the opportunity to become a mentor to new team members in training also!

David 


As a Senior Watch House Officer, I manage custody operations, ensuring security and dignity for all. My role demands adaptability, handling everything from high-pressure situations to seamless coordination with diverse stakeholders. With 9+ years’ experience, I’ve contributed statewide, including DNA sampling and airwing escorts. Proudly, I’m also a long-time Cairns Taipans fan!

As a Communication Operator, I coordinate emergency responses, prioritise Police officer safety, and support the community during critical situations. Triple-zero operators are often the voice of calm for people in their most intense moments. QPS offers a rewarding career where teamwork, empathy and community spirit are at the heart of what we do.

As a Client Service Officer, I handle numerous phone calls and digital work items daily, interacting with the public and police officers, and I love helping my team. Working at QPS allows me to give back to the community and feel part of something bigger. The 24/7 shift work is fantastic for family time and personal hobbies. Since joining in February 2021, I've had many opportunities to develop my skills and mentor others.

As Curator of the Queensland Police Museum for 27 years, I manage a small team and explore the rich history of QPS. My days involve researching police heritage, planning exhibitions, and assisting public and internal inquiries. I value the variety my role offers and the unique opportunity to preserve and share stories of Queensland’s police history.

As the NATA Review Officer in Forensics based in Regional Queensland, I evaluate Scenes of Crime Officers’ examinations to ensure meticulous documentation for audits and court. Working in a cutting-edge forensic facility with talented colleagues who inspire my growth.
