Most QPS Staff Members are employed under the Queensland Police Service Staff Members Certified Agreement 2023, salary schedules start on page 54 of the agreement.
Protective Service Officers are employed under the Queensland Police Service Protective Services Officers Certified Agreement 2022, salary schedules start on page 23 of the agreement.
Assistant Watchhouse Officers and Police Liaison Officers are employed under Queensland Police Service Certified Agreement 2022, salary schedules start on page 70 of the agreement.

Leave entitlements
- At least 4 weeks annual leave attracting leave loading
- Sick leave entitlements
- 13 weeks long service leave after 10 years’ service (able to access pro-rata accruals from 7 years)
- Supportive environment for families, including up to 14 weeks paid parental leave with a variety of other parental entitlements that are available
- Leave options for carers, emergencies, critical incidents and disasters
- Domestic and Family Violence leave

SelfRefer
Our SelfRefer Program partners with a network of qualified mental health professionals experienced in working with First Responders and is available to all current QPS employees.
The program is designed to encourage QPS employees to seek assistance that is best suited for them through an expediated self-referral process.
