Reframing the Relationship

We are committed to reframing our relationship with Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Launched on 27 May 2024, the Queensland Police Service - Reframing the Relationship Plan 2024-2027 demonstrates our commitment to improving policing services, outcomes and relationships with First Nations people and the communities of Queensland.

  • The Reframing the Relationship Plan outlines the eight key principles that will guide our journey towards an improved and culturally safe service, built on partnerships and meaningful relationships with Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The Queensland Police Service respectfully acknowledge First Nations peoples as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of Queensland. We recognise their connection to land, sea and community. We pay our respects to them, their cultures, and to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
