Miscellaneous Weapons Licence (Cat E & M) for Historical, Military or Martial arts

You have chosen to apply for a Miscellaneous Licence (Cat E & M) for Historical, Military or Martial Arts. To support your application, you will need to provide:

  1. Proof of address (Queensland Drivers Licence, rates notice or electricity bill).
  2. Your statement of attainment for an approved firearms safety course, covering the category of weapon you’re applying for.
  3. Specific details of the reasons why the weapon/s are required including when and where the weapons/s are required for physical possession.
  4. Proof of your current membership of one of the following:
    1. A state, national or international historical, military re-enactment or martial arts organisation; or
    2. A genuine historical, military re-enactment or martial arts organisation that gives training in the use of the type of weapons applied for.
  5. Details of any medical condition endorsed on your Queensland Drivers Licence.
  6. A current passport-quality photograph.

Important information

To make sure that your application is assessed as quickly as possible it is important that the information you supply to us is correct and complete, and that your supporting documentation is uploaded to your application or forwarded to Weapons Licensing within 28 days from submitting the online application. You are strongly encouraged to contact your local club or dealer about assisting you to complete your licence application, and to ensure the required documentation is submitted. If your application does not meet our requirements it could be refused or there could be substantial delays while we seek further information from you.

Please be advised that this online service can only be used for the purpose of applying for a NEW licence. If you are an existing Weapons Licence holder you can use the online forms to apply for an additional type of Weapons Licence otherwise, if you want to renew your Weapons Licence please see the renewals section for information on how to do this.
