The Queensland Police Service Enterprise Bargaining Agreement 2025 contains Schedule 6 ‘CPI Uplift Adjustment (CUA) and Wages Clause’.
This Schedule outlines provisions relating to wage increases where the Brisbane CPI figure exceeds the relevant wage increase.
The March 2026 Brisbane CPI figure exceeded the 1 July 2025 3% wage increase, and consequently the wage increase to be implemented is now 3.5%, effective 1 July 2025.
Please see below the new increased rates of pay for both Police Officers and Police Support Officers, as well as the relevant increased allowances.
Back payments are scheduled to commence in the pay fortnight of 24 June 2026, with an anticipated completion of all adjustments by 5 August 2026.
Exception – Information Required
In some cases, you may still be eligible for a CUA payment even if you are no longer a current employee. This is known as an exception.
To check your eligibility, you will need to email QSS Payroll (Sarah Azzopardi – qpspayroll@CHDE.qld.gov.au) and provide the following relevant information only:
- your full name (first, middle and last);
- your date of birth;
- your employee or payroll number; and
- the department or entity you worked for.
At this stage, do not provide banking, superannuation, or taxation details.
If an exception is confirmed and a payment needs to be processed, QSS Payroll will contact you to request any additional information required. This approach helps limit the collection of personal and sensitive information.
