Update/Withdraw a Report and Crime Status Requests 

Only use this form if you have previously reported the matter to the Queensland Police Service

What you need

  • Identification e.g. Australian/Queensland Drivers Licence/18+ card, passport
  • A valid and current personal email address
  • Authorisation if you are requesting information on behalf of a business
  • To receive a crime status update you must be listed on the report as an informant or victim.

What to expect

You will receive an online reference number to confirm the form has been submitted.

Subject to operation requirements, you will receive a confirmation email to the nominated email address within 7 days.

If you have nominated there is evidence to be provided, you will receive either an email/SMS with the report number and a secure link to upload the video footage or evidence.

Has it been 48 hours since you reported the incident to police
Does your enquiry relate to a traffic incident report (Hoon Line, cyclist complaint, traffic crash)?

You will need to wait at least 48 hours from reporting to police before requesting a status update.

Crime status updates are not provided on traffic incidents. Local police have been informed of the incident and will contact you if required.

Does your enquiry relate to a lost property report?

If a property item is located by or handed in to the Queensland Police Service and it is identified as being the item you have lost, police will contact you. Unless your property is located, there will be no changes to your report.

Update a report – includes a crime status update and/or link to provide evidence

Use this form if you want to update your report with additional information, suspect person/s or vehicle/s, property, or supporting evidence such as a photographs, videos, or documents.

You will also receive a crime status update if you are listed on the report as an informant or victim.

Use the Withdrawal of Complaint form if you wish to withdraw a report.

Photographs or videos

To assist the Queensland Police Service with its investigations, evidence is requested to be provided to the Axon Queensland Police Service Evidence Submission Portal.

For offences reported online with available evidence (e.g. video footage) a secure link will be sent to provide this to Police.

You will receive either an email/SMS with the report number and a secure link to upload the video footage or evidence.

The link can be used:

  • only for the offence being reported,
  • only once to upload multiple attachments and
  • will expire in 10 days once received
