Recruiting and Development Command

Recruiting and Development Command (RDC) facilitates and oversees education and training programs across the state for both pre-service and in-service training. These programs are delivered through various specialist training units at QPSA campuses and within Education and Training offices throughout the state.

Recruiting and Development Command includes the Honours and Awards Unit which supports the Commissioner in recognising the achievements of QPS personnel and community members who provide significant assistance to the QPS. The Command also encompasses the Queensland Police Pipes and Drums who support frontline policing by using musical performances to deliver crime prevention messages, and build strong connections at charity events, retirements villages and other programs across Queensland.

The Recruiting and Development Command consists of the following groups:

  • Honours & Awards
  • Operational Policing & Leadership
  • Recruiting & Constable Training
  • Skills & Frontline Education
