Check your eligibility
All applicants must meet the eligibility criteria listed on the Towing of Motor Vehicles Scheme page.
To assist the Queensland Police Service in assessing your application for reimbursement, we require sufficient information to determine your eligibility.
What you need
- Vehicle details: Registration number or VIN
- A valid and current personal email address, mobile phone number and address
- Invoice and payment receipt
- Bank details: account name, BSB and account number
- Qld Police Report reference number (eg: QPxxxxxxxxxx)
- Statutory declaration confirming that no financial benefit has been received from a third party (e.g., from an insurance company).
A Statutory declaration form and guide which explains how to make a statutory declaration correctly under the Oaths Act 1867 can be accessed on the Queensland Government website.
To assist you in completing your statutory declaration, an example of a completed form is available.
Note: Additional information may be requested if required. Incomplete or insufficient documentation may delay the processing of your application.
What to expect
Once you submit your application, you will receive a reference number. Retain this number for enquiries when contacting the Seized Vehicle Team at Towing.State@police.qld.gov.au or Policelink on 131 444.
